Well I guess it's like saying how Monster Cables are scam. But in reality it's more of poor judgment and lack of knowledge by the customer base that allows them to mark up cables to unreasonable amounts.

If I decide to sell my car that's worth $500 dollars to some unsuspecting chap out there for $5000, well that's his fault for not researching and knowing what the market value is. There's a difference between scam and lack of knowledge as other posters have insinuated.

A scam is more of I'll mow your lawn for the next 3 years but you pay me up front of $5000 and me not ever showing up and stealing your money.
