Is this even a scam?

The guy saw the merchandise, agreed to a price and got what he thought he was buying. Yeah he paid a hell of a lot more then he could have bought the same stuff for elsewhere but whose fault is that?

If you bought a tv at future shop for 300$ then walked across the mall and saw the same TV for 200$ at best buy would you tear back into future shop and call them scammers?(lets ignore the price match guarentees here). Everyone would think you're a moron if you did.

I'd say it's deceptive business practices for sure to suggest it has a much higher value, but to me doesn't achieve the criteria for being a scam. If you walk into a car dealership and pay 28,000 for a car that a guy walked out with the day before for only 25,000 because you didn't do your research and bargain hard enough does this mean the salesperson scammed you?

Especially in this day and age with the ability to research your purchases easily ahead of time, anyone whose greed blinds them has it coming and no one else to blame.
