I'm surprised how much outrage this is generating.
I think the cop was in the wrong and is likely an a hole, but in comparison to other VPD assaults on people and abuses of power, this is quite tame. Seems to be getting much more attention than other examples that were far worse.

I wonder what the reaction would be like if she was a drunk native women instead.
