Connect the PS3 and the PC to your router.
if you are streaming regular videos like wmv and avi, you can add them to your Windows Media Player in windows 7, and enable media sharing. The Windows 7 computer will now act as a DLNA server.
Your PS3 has the ability to auto discover any DLNA server on the LAN, so simply navigate to "video" and you should see your computer name in the list.
If it doesn't show, turn off your windows firewall.
If you are streaming HD content, then use mkv2vob to convert to a a format that PS3 understands (most HD stuff comes in mkv), then use tversity (which acts as a DLNA server, but it can handle vob) to stream it to your PS3.
