Yes, the old building is now gone. 
Yes, they "merged" with Boomers (across from the Prince George Hotel) and it's the Midtown during the day and Boomers (DJ, dancing etc) during the night.
Yes it does, no more walking through the kitchen to reach the facilities for the ladies. That was part of the old Midtown's charm, it used to be a Men's only club and they never built a woman's washroom. Once women were allowed in (70's???) they had to fit one in wherever they could - "right through the kitchen" was born. |
My parents met at the Midtown... classssssy! They used to bring my sister and I there a lot as kids, I still remember the first time I ever went. Last summer, before the old location closed down, I went back and got my picture taken with the owners and gave it to my dad... it was a very proud day for him, haha.
