Lance Armstrong is an interesting story.

To date the Vrijman Report in probably the most important document that supposedly exonerates Armstrong of the allegations put against him by L'Equipe, where they claimed that some of his '99 test results were positive for EPO.

My only issue with Vrijman is he is now a defense lawyer for high profile athletes accused of doping, and I have to question his moral compass at the time of writing his report.

I read a good article about Armstrong in the National Post last Friday. Basically it asked whether it's OK if he cheated because of all the money he raised for cancer research. Absolutely cheating is wrong, but to do so in the name of a good cause?

But let’s say it is proven Lance Armstrong used PEDs. Would it be better if he had used ill-gotten gains — and even that is arguable, since it’s possible that every contender was doping, and Armstrong would have been the best — and put them towards a worthy goal? Would he be Robin Hood on a bike?

I honestly don't know where to stand on this issue because the whole situation is so murky. It's hard to have a moral high ground in the situation because it seems as though everyone is cheating.
