Unless you don't care about your visitors that's a very bad idea. You don't get your own domain email addresses (unless you set up a static IP and a mail server), you are limited to the transfer limits of your connection (30 or 50GB on Shaw), you are limited by your upload bandwidth, your own computer use can be affected by others use of your site (good luck playing BF2 while dozens are downloading a video at lower than modem speeds), you have to do all your own sysadmin, and a myriad of other reasons.

Go with a reliable hosting provider for a small monthly fee and you avoid all of that.
