I really don't think a lot of us are, your sample size is the vocal minority...or at Stamps - Rider games here, perhaps the majority. Having grown up in Regina, I have no choice but to bleed green. The Riders are in my DNA, and that's just the way it is. I don't think it's any different than someone who grew up in an NHL city but has moved to Calgary, they may cheer for The Flames (unless they come from a rival) but they cheer loudest for their home club.
I have no burning desire to see The Stamps crash and burn and take no great delight in seeing them fail...although I do have to admit the penalty which lost them the game last week did make me smile, but that's mostly from some of the comments made on this site. Mostly though, I'm happy if they have a successful season and happy if they win the cup. I'm happier if The Riders win though. I guess I'm pretty ambivalent about it and really don't feel there is or should be any huge massive hatred for Rider fans like there seems to be. I would think it more natural to hate Eskimo fans and leave the Riders and Bombers to themselves.
Honestly in this thread, taking an outside view, one could claim there are a lot of d'bag Stamps fans for all the "hick" comments, generalizations, and insults that are being tossed. I however don't believe that for a second, most of you are having fun and the "13" posts are pretty damn funny. It's just a game afterall, and it's only the CFL. It's not worth getting bent out of shape over.
