I spent my honeymoon there in late August/early September back in 2003. The weather was fantastic. You'll love it.

For an actual place to do the deed, so to speak, I am a big fan of having it in your pocket and waiting for the right time. There are lots of beautiful beaches and quaint towns and villages along the coast.

If I was to pick once place to pop the question from what I saw when I was there, I'd pick the beach at Sandy Cove on Digby Neck on the Fundy side of Nova Scotia. My wife and I had a great time walking along the beach as the sun went down. It is a bit of a trek from Halifax though.

Unfortunately we had some giant Digby scallops the size of hockey pucks in the town of Digby (figured we had to) shortly thereafter that must have gone bad and we both ended up with the shats for a day. How romantic.
