When I go to a hockey game in Edmonton (approximately 30% of the fans I would say are Flames fans), even though I think that Edmonton is a crap hole, full of dirty peolple, with a terrible hockey team, I don't stand up on my seat and shout it in their face no matter how drunk I get because I know what i'm going to create if I do. There's only one friggin fan base in Canada that feels the need to do that, and that is the Riders. You can pout and stomp your feet all you want. That's the way is. It's the same way in Edmonton and BC as their fans can attest.
Rider fans bring on the reaction themselves. If they had the least bit of tact, it wouldn't escolate to the way it does. Most people in Calgary could careless if they hoop and holler for their team. But Insulting the Stampeders, their fans, and the City they live in (ironically where most of these SK fans live too) in their own stadium is never going to go over well with the home team fans.
