Sure, none of those events generally hurt people, but that is my whole point. If you eliminate the morons throwing the cups, the beer snake is a fantastic idea. It creates a buzz and in a CFL market that has potential but has struggled the last few years it could help get young people involved.
Sure it may create a brief bit of buzz, I initially saw it and thought it was cool. But after 2 or 3 games is anyone gonna care? It certainly wouldn't be enough to make me buy tickets.

Besides, from the clip I saw it wasn't a few morons throwing cups, there were people from high up in the stands showering cups down to get this thing built. I don't think anyone thinks its the most dangerous thing to be throwing, but I can see why the organization wouldn't want to take that risk.
