What the hell? You need a long string of plastic cups in the audience to get people to come watch these games? If so, it is a truly, truly pathetic sport.

The organization can't have people being injured at the games, intentionally, or even just by accident in creation of this snake. It would be too hard to manage everyone trying to contribute to the snake and what happens with all the cups. They are doing the right thing. The drunk fans might actually have to watch the game to entertain themselves.
