In today's transfer gos, Artur Boruc has joined Fiorentina and has allegedly made it clear that he is there to be the first choice. With Frey having been a loyal servant and shown that he is good enough to start for France, what will this mean for the French shot-stopper? Does this pave the way for a move to Emirates?
In related news, according to The Sun Fulham have slapped a £4m price-tag on Schwarzer.
Personally, I'd like to see Arsene sign a keeper like Frey. He is a highly-rated keeper but not one that is going to break the bank and he fits in well with Arsenal's short and long-term keeper situation. They need a proven keeper who can do the job well but at the same time not block the path for Szczęsny. The price for Schwarzer is simply too much for a stop-gap solution and, to be honest, I don't even rate him that high.
