Overachieve should not have the negative connotation that people seem to apply to it today. I think it's great to work to excel at something even if it's to sacrifice something else. My problem is I never focused in that way and tried to do well in a bit of everything and therefore never became excellent at anything...like trying to learn 6 different instruments and only being mediocre at all of them.
