I know a lot of people are going for the paintless dent repair (PDR), which is a more affordable option compared to the regular body work/part replacement/paint job but I hear that in the long run PDR may not be the best option. If you have a nice car which you want to keep for long PDR may cause the paint to peel off some time later, perhaps years later.
In my case since the vehicle is leased I would have to make sure the repair satisfies VW finance, otherwise I will get hit when the vehicle is returned.
