The way Barcelona has gone about it is a big deal and very disrespectful IMO. I understand them wanting him, but he's a player under contract and they should respect that.
Make their bids professionally and privately to Arsenal and if they get him, fair enough.
Trying to create a giant media storm and trying to tempt him in so many different ways is very unprofessional. Soccer media would do this enough on their own, the club shouldn't be encouraging it.
Also, their attitude of entitlement to him because he's from their youth system is complete BS. They sold him fair and square and he became the player he is at Arsenal.
It's like the Flames trying to claim they should get St. Louis back cheep because he came through our system and we let him go.
