Without any real stats or info, all we can do is base it on our own experiences. I know two people right now that claim to be 100% average students. They are not people I'd see to be liars and people I see studying all the time when a big test is coming up, even when the family is out having dinner. They are in the Catholic School system though, I don't know if that has any bearing on anything.
One of my friends who averaged 100% in highschool 10 years ago ended up @ John Hopkins University. The other one has a masters in engineering but decided he was bored in that field and graduated med school last year. I definetely know for certain many people who have done it in Calgary. That's all that I can offer you guys.
I apologize that this is taking away from this girl's accomplishment, I'm happy she takes satisfaction from something that will definetely be a tremendous help in her life in terms of priorities or work ethic to be successful.
