Also, the Yankees were quite livid about not getting Lee. They thought they had a deal worked out, but Seattle decided they liked the Texas package better.

I agree 100% and heard the samething about the NY being upset that they didn't land Lee. Apparently they thought it was a done deal. I think this is a move the M's will regret. Smoak will be nothing great, a good MLB player but not great.
