Didn't we qualify in 86 by putting the deciding game in St. Johns in the fall? Take that you central American bums!

IMO, we're probably a generation away from another world Cup appearance. The growth of MLS in Canada's three largest markets will spur interest in the sport, and we will start to see talented kids coming up the pipeline in about a decade or so.

For comparison sake, consider the spike in the number of Canadians in baseball and how the growth coorelates to the time when the Jays were winning titles.
