The show was so stupid but I think of the millions going to kids and it makes me feel a little better

Forgive me - my point may have been unclear. What he could have done, immediately before the special, would have been to make a call to the Cavs, because he made it clear he just called Miami immediately before. That would have been the adult thing to do in this situation, I think. Just an opinion though.
The millions going to kids was set up because LBJ's 'handlers' (a 25 year old with babysitters, amazing) knew that he'd get absolutely, completely slaughtered and dismembered by the media if that wasn't thrown in. Still, the Boys and Girls Club is getting a bunch of money even though it was only designed to mitigate the damage - but I don't think it helped.
