i still have an unused lockjaw blade (tkachuk) and tool. cool concept. i used to collect the tapered screws.
this was the time when companies were trying to compete with each other on shafts/blades. nothing was as good as 'traditional' glue.
there was the 'harpoon system' from bauer that was worse. little rubber ridges on the hosel, no glue required. just force it in and the rubber would grip to the shaft. problem, it was either too loose and had to 'tap' it down every shift, or too tight and had a hell of a time getting it out.
