I know what you mean. I bought a 77 flex a while back and I had to put my lower hand so low on the stick to get any power on it... however the wrist shot on the thing was crazy.
To be fair though, I don't use and honest 87 flex stick. I buy the 87 flex and cut it down making it more of a 100 flex.
