It's usually how younger people are towards age difference. I of course wouldn't actually start hitting on 14 years olds, being 25 myself, but it's funny how things change as people get older.
When you're in High School you hear "OMG that grade 11 guy is dating a grade 10 girl!"
Then as people get oldeer, it starts to change. 3Justin3 is young at 20 and still sees a 4 year age difference as kind of weird.
Then all of a sudden people get older and you see people marrying a partener that's 7 or 8 years younger sometimes, and it's a non-issue.
A buddy of mine is 25 and dating an 18 year old chick, and they've been dating for a couple of years now. On the surface (aka me saying he's dating an 18 year old when he's 25) it's sounds weird and some might see it as gross or whatever. But then you hang out with them and you quickly realize age is just a number, and these two have a lot of fun together and don't look odd as a couple at all.
