From my understanding, Apple is saying that their algorithm for calculating bars is wrong. When a user should only have 2 or 3 bars, it says they have 5.

This falls in line with all of the hard data that proves signal strength is actually better, and that the people with dropped calls had very little signal strength to begin with.

Translation: this should be a non-issue in Calgary.

(Yes it's a real issue in places with low signal strength, and yes I would like to get a free bumper case that I'll probably never use... And yes a group of lawyers are still going to get rich off this... I'm just saying that we don't live in an area with low signal strength, so this should all be a moot point.)

Edit: Although, I wonder if this means that people will lose calls on Rogers' network in elevators or tunnels etc...
