The picture is grainy and blurry because you are using regular cable most likely.

You need an HD Reciever and the HD television package from your cable company to actually recieve high defintion video on your TV otherwise your fancy TV is just blowing up the low resolution SD cable signal.

You'll need to buy a $150-$250 HD reciever from Shaw and then pay for the proper HD channel package to actually recieve HD video. Standard cable will always look like crap on an HDTV, there is no much you can do.
