I'd say one of two things can explain this.
1) Soccer players are a bunch of divers
2) Yellow/Red cards have some sort of magical healing powers that really should be looked into.
It's absolutely brilliant that you managed to find a picture in which one of the players had his season ended, and World Cup all but ruined. Guess which one.
