I oppose gay marriage because I feel that it deteriorates the institution of marriage. I'm not a bigot. I don't really care what kind of love or sex people practise as long as they don't impose it on others or flaunt it. I have business associates who are gay. It matters not to me. Be gay, I don't care. Have a civil ceremony to celebrate your love, I don't care, but it shouldn't be a marriage.
Gay marriage in no way undermines your union. What does one couple getting married have to do with you?

And it is not the right of any sole or group of religious (or non-religious) people. It's a right all should share.

If you think it does undermine your union, then so does divorce, marrying for money, marrying for political aspirations, family arranged marriages, etc. etc. etc. As well as situations where people are trapped in marriages because they feel they have to keep their marriage together. Situations with abuse, neglect, etc.

If you truly believe gay people getting married undermines it, then you must yield that it was undermined a LONG time ago, probably since the day it was conceived.

Secondly, to all those people (Azure ) who say they don't care and use the excuse no one should care (government shouldn't be involved etc.), I agree with you in a perfect world. If no one cared form the beginning and the laws were equal, it would be fine. Everyone SHOULD stay out of each others business. I agree 100%

In a perfect world.

Unfortunately, the laws are still not equitible in many places, so those that don't mind, HAVE to care. At least until the laws are fair.
