I’m certan that the GCC toolchain will support Objective-C. Yep - check out GnuStep.org, which is Objective-C using the GCC toolchain, and is a project that strives to be Cocoa compatible.
It’s not going to be as nice as working native in XCode, but it would get you up and learning the language and some of the foundational classes without having the cash outlay of a Macbook.
