So I just got my new prescription from my optometrist, have the frames I want picked out, and now just need to decide to where to get the lenses done. My optometrist's office told me that I should bring whatever frames I get to them as they'll do a better job.

Is there any validity to this? I'm probably thinking more into this than is necessary, but if I'm dropping $500 on a new pair of glasses I may as well get them done right.
