If she had asked in a kind manner without any sort of presumption of me giving up my seat I would have gladly got up.

Just to clear things up a little, this was near Brentwood I believe and at the time I had not even looked up from my book at the time and did not notice her until she asked me for my seat.
Have you given up your seat everyday? I think you're overreacting to one request which just goes to show us what kind of person you are.

One lady who may or may not have been able-bodied asked you once to give up your seat and you create a thread about the injustice of it all...

Maybe she was rude... maybe that defines her character. How you react to it defines yours.
