I was surprised to read that. The speed on my 3G has improved and I find that there's less of a lag when tying text messages.

The only real slowdown I found was with iBooks. It's very slow and something I'm not interested in using until the speed improves. Of course, the 4 will probably be available by then and I'll move on to that.
