As a female, I think it's a neat idea. However, I can't help but sort of agree with Dan002's comment as well. Unless the device somehow like...makes the rapist pass out, he's probably just going to rage and kill the poor girl instead.
And I can't really imagine walking around with that.. ahem.. along with me all of the time.
