Well that's not the debate. No one has ever said that these laws are, or should be about forcing priests/churches/whatever to perform marriages for gays. What they mean is that gays can get civil marriages, and receive all the same rights as everyone else.
So where do you stand on that?
What about straight people getting married in civil ceremonies? Do you have objections to that?
