It's fine with me. A ref sees a push and blows the whistle. Everyone has a different interpretation of the call. It happens. If FIFA feels the call was wrong they can easily send the ref home. Other than that, I can't see an instant solution.
While the US was getting mugged, especially after the Donovan goal, the ref was passing out yellows to the offenders and gave the US 4-5 good free kick opportunities where they could've won the game. Why doesn't the media report that?
