What do you mean the glasses don't work? So you hate 3D because you're one of about 10% of the population who doesn't even see the real world in 3D anyways? That's like a deaf person hating sound, or a blind person hating sight. If there's ever been a time for a "haters gonna hate" pic, this seems to be it.
Or do you mean the glasses don't fit over your glasses? Because all the current versions are designed to fit over glasses. I wear glasses, and yeah the 3D glasses work better with contacts, but they also work over glasses.
For some games, 3D is pretty much already fully mature (Batman AA, Metro 2033, Just Cause 2, Resident Evil 5, Battlefield BC 2, Avatar were all designed for flawless 3D, at least when using nVidia's system). It is super amazing, but with good 3D the depth is usually going into the TV rather than coming out of it. (As a general rule, nothing that touches the edge of the screen should ever be in front of the screen - which usually means the frontmost part of the image is at screen depth.)
By the way... my offer to do a 3D demo for anyone who's interested still stands, just fire me a PM.

Sorry, I just don't have the hard-on for 3D that I guess everyone else does. My opinion will never deviate from what it is now, a gimmick developed for children.
