What Apple should be held to account for is not that vulnerabilities exist, but that they often do not demonstrate leadership in responsiveness, time to resolution, and openness in their disclosures. All companies should be held to a higher standard in this regard though, Apple is hardly alone. I wouldn’t even put Apple near the top of the heap in this regard; they have a long way to go on the security management front. |
