I purchased a Yamaha receiver yesterday, hooked up the speakers (2 fronts, center and 2 ceiling rears). Everything worked fine this morning. Now it's turning itself off. I thought it was when the volume was too high but it seems to do it after about 5 - 10 seconds of being on.

I read it might be the speaker wires are touching. Before I pull it all apart I was hoping the CP braintrust had some ideas.

EDIT: I'm thinking the receiver can't handle the speakers.
