The yellow wasn't for the "dive", it was for the extra crap after the play had moved on.
And maybe more calls went his way then against him because....now let's see if you can wrap your head around this......HE GETS FOULED A LOT!!! He is a dangerous player and any person would half a brain would say that. Messi gets fouled a lot. All the big name players who see the ball a lot are going to be subject to harsher tackles and a higher number of them. I can't imagine this is lost on you. But then again.......
