Maybe he has a reputation as a diver because he goes down at even the most incidental contact? Does he perhaps have some kind of inner ear problem that causes him to lose balance so much more often than every other player on the pitch?

If he were the only one that did it, I would understand the hate. And if you're specifically looking for Ronaldo's dives, then you are going to see things a little bit differently. In super slow HD motion, it looks a lot worse than it is. These guys are going at full speed, and a slight knock could easily make you fall to the ground. Ronaldo is no different than a vast majority of players. Singling him out is unfair. What he does is not always right, but he sure as hell is not alone.
The theatrics of players is the only thing that gets to me. Clutching a knee or a face when they weren;t even hit there is embarassing.
