I think it's the game's sound effects. Compare the applause during gameplay to that after the gameplay ends.
Microsoft is really trying to go with Nintendo's approach and use E3 as a method of demoing to major non-gaming media. It's too little, too late though I think. Nintendo has a monopoly on the causal gaming market share.
