That's not the cops problem, thats the dealers and your problem. You should phone the dealership, they won't do anything at all, but they gave you bad information.

And of course she followed you home, you were driving without insurance and a valid registration and it sounds like you could barely drive the damn car. If you had been in an accident and it turned out that she had let you go, then she's in a world of hurt.

I wouldn't fight it, a judge might get pissed off at the stupidity of it and enforce the fine. Its too bad that he can't put the seizure of the vehicle and the 3000 dollar fine in place if you did fight it. The laws not the problem here, nor is the cop, the dealership is and you are.

Seriously you should send the cop a nice box of candy.
