And it is quite an accomplishment.
There is a great show on i think Discovery about two guy who sailed the Atlantic in a race.....It really opened my eyes to the shear mental torture that those two went through...It must much harder doing it along and at a young age, no doubt an accomplishment.

Dude it's damn near impossible to get a 16 yr old girl to do ANYTHING she doesn't want to do, let alone sail around the world.
