I got a Kitten from the Humane society for about 130$, spayed, and had all of her inital shots as well.

I'm not going to attack you for getting a kitten from Petland, but the little kitten I got from the Humane Society cost me less money, and she has turned out of be a great cat for me.

Just don't see why you wouldn't want to do that.
