I've been doing a little reading on Lurigancho. Apparently it's 10 000 inmates and 100 guards, and the guards have given up control to inmate "sects" or neighbourhoods.

I kinda get the impression it's like the prison in "Prison Break", except it's real.

This is probably going to turn out very bad, or very good for this kid. If he has enough money he can probably buy whatever he wants down there, and hopefully sit back and wait to be extradited. That or he gets robbed and raped every day.
