I had to defend my thoughts, and provided fact, but it was like I no longer belonged on the board, because I didn't share the same "In Sutter We Trust" thought process.

Some of those "In Sutter we trust" guys are just as whack as the "constant negaitive" guys. A couple days ago there was a thread discussing Brent Sutter and couple of guys (can't remember the specifics) were calling Brent one of the best coaches.
When a few posters claimed that wasn't true, one of the responses was something to the effect of "he hasn't been in the league long enough to prove that he
isn't one of the best".
So it was like in their eyes, Brent Sutter doesn't have to build a career of accomplishments to become one of the best. He starts as one of the best, and then he has to be in the league for a number of years, with poor results to lose his "one of the best" status.
