The odds of winning in any lottery are slim but I personally have had a string of good luck with myself and people I know winning the lottery and 50/50 draws........
In the late '90s a family friend in Kelowna won $15 million. They wanted to try to stay humble and keep working at their same jobs but the public got on their case and they retired at Freedom 40. Own a house on Okanagan Lake now, have a house in Palm Desert for the winters, travel lots and really enjoy life. Helped their own parents and kids out as well. Considering everything they are super humble and still great people. Invested well and also have donated a lot to charity. Couldn't have happened to better people minus my own family
A few years ago my office lotto pool won $300K. Our split each was $15k which was nice. Made a big mortgage payment.
My father-in-law won $35K about 2 weeks later. They used the winnings on a nice vacation and to renovate his house which needed some updating.
A buddy of mine that I have Stamps season tickets with won $25K the 50/50 at a Stamps game a few seasons back. The post game party on his tab was fun! Not sure what he did with the rest. I bought my tickets with him so I was that close!
