Part of the problem that I see is that many people purchase ATV's that are not appropriately sized (or powered) for their skill level. If you want to get into quadding, please start on smallish four stroke and ride the hell out of it. Once you have that mastered then move up.
On that note, just last year a friend's wife who I suppose is an intermediate rider and very petite rolled her husbands 800 right over top of her just tooling around at very low speed near the campsite. It was a miracle she wasn't hurt. But she just shouldn't be riding that thing, it is simply way too heavy and too powerful for her to control well given her size and experience level.
