Cabbies of other companies were complaining about this in front of the Harry Hays building, but I'm not sure why. Associated will likely move a good chunk of their fleet to the airport, opening up more downtown fares for others. Also, with more cabs downtown, people will be inclined to use taxi service, as having to search for a cab in downtown is often a difficult task, so people don't use them.
I see it as a win-win for all.
