Default Motorcycle Noise Bylaw (Edmonton)

I thought that this was kind of interesting. Edmonton is proposing a bylaw to cut down/eliminate the "Excessive" noise from motorcycles.

I can't help but agree that motorcycles can get awfully loud, and being a member of the motorcycle community, I can confirm that a select number of riders are constantly on the search for the 'loudest pipes possible'.

I find it sad that we have to legislate common decency, but I understand the desire for the bylaw. The only thing I don't understand.......what about the hillbilly who's always on the hunt for louder pipes on his diesel dually? Dunno, but I hear far more pickups and rice-mobiles (year round, I might add).
