Best pitcher in baseball? Child please. The best pitcher from the last two years is Tim Lincecum. His two Cy Youngs back that up. He was off to a third this year in his first 8 starts, but his last three have not been great. He is having some mechancics issues and command problems.
The best pitcher in baseball is easily Ubaldo Jiminez. His 10-1 record in 11 starts with a 0.78 ERA puts him head and shoulders above anyone right now. Jimenz's only loss came against the Dodgers when he gave up one run in seven innings and his team was shut out.
Halladay is a great pitcher, but not the best.
